Honō was among the few lucky survivors of a tiny village that was hoarded by thieves and burned to the ground. She was found in a sad state with most of her face burnt. It was hard to survive in a time when women were not taken seriously, moreover, one with a deformity. This did not affect her character, if anything, she only remained kind and yet fierce when necessary. Justice was imprinted in her heart.

One day, whilst she was scavenging for herbs and various fruits she heard a voice.

“Honō…” the voice called her, “…come home.”

It continued. She followed it, feeling a strange comfort until she reached a clearing and met a beautiful magnificent nine tailed kitsune fox.

“This is your true calling.” the fox whispered, “You are the blaze in the hearts of all the abused, all the broken and all the hopeless.” She accepted this, taking on a different form.

Her name now haunts the lips of many fearful cold blooded abusers. “She appeared, in a mask adorned with flowers, beautiful, mysterious. She said if I didn’t treat the salves better she will set me on fire. Then disappeared…in flames…”

Sim description: Drune: Crossroads is a sci-fi sim in Second Life with a cyberpunk feel, inspired by films like Blade Runner, The Fifth Element, Neuromancer, and Altered Carbon. Several versions of Drune have existed before, including a few from different fictional time periods. Crossroads is a culmination of Drunes past; or Drune’s Greatest Hits, in a sense.

It’s been a while that I’ve posted here.  Since mid April, which was just around the time that I was getting over the flu and getting sent home due to Covid.

Hello.  It’s been a while since I’ve posted here.  My home and garden blog keeps me pretty busy.  Though I felt inspired when I saw these dragons.  You could say I have a certain fond attachment to these fire-breathing animals as I dated a guy named Draco.

One of the meanings of the name is dragon and he like those fiery beasts has it deeply entrenched to be fierce.  If upset, watch out for his display of power and dominance as just like dragons he could spew a blaze of fire that burned you to a crisp {chuckles}.  Whether myth or not, one of the traits of dragons is to protect and he was like that too, ferociously protective.  It’s one of his most enduring qualities.

Horse truths

I know it’s been ages since I’ve posted to this blog.  There has been a few times I’ve thought of deleting it.  I still have this thought that one day I will return to doing more fantasy photos, so until I hang up my hat it will stay.

This photo is just one for me playing with black and white.  The title comes from fond memories of one of my favorite books, “The Seven Lady Godivas.”
